For those seeking instructors for the Perspectives Study Program, I instruct in the Biblical and History sections. I can also serve as a coach to other instructors, facilitators, and coordinating teams.
All organizations thrive when they have a clear direction. That includes vision, mission, values, goals, and strategies for accomplishing these. I lead churches and parachurch ministries through the process of setting this direction, developing a strategic plan, and implementing that plan - assessing, monitoring, and adjusting it as necessary.
Many have asked, "What is the Good News?" Many have asked, "What is the Good News?" The Good News is that we can each have a relationship with the God of the Universe, who created us uniquely for the purpose of enjoying relationship with Him. And we can live empowered, transformed lives that lead others to find empowered, transformed lives through the redeeming blood of Jesus Christ and the unfathomable power of the Holy Spirit. As I share the Good News, with my neighbors, colleagues, the marginalized of my city, and those who have never heard the name of Jesus around the globe, I am seeing lives, families, and communities transformed more in alignment with the perfect design God intended.
Leaders are essential in the success of any organization. "We need to know from the leadership of [our church] if they want to become a Missions church. If not, then we would need to rethink our goals on a smaller scale. We can’t decide as a group these massive culture changes without the backing of the leadership." - Erin
Through our work on setting a vision, "an AHA moment... was realizing that through [our church] a missions movement to the unreached is possible." - Zach
"I realized I asked Kerri to accomplish too many purposes in our first meeting. I am now understanding why [she] said we are trying to do a lot in one meeting. Excited about future meetings. I really want to get a shared vision on paper!" - Andy
Moving from vision to reality often presents many challenges. "Do [the elders and staff] want [our church] to be identified as a sending Church? To be honest, I'm not sure how we can move forward with the beautiful vision we created if the elders and staff do not want to be a *missions* church. It would be hard moving forward with the action plan without re-establishing our [church identity]." - Christine
"This is not going to happen overnight so we need to determine actions steps that we can do now to affect change in the future." We'll need to find "people to delegate responsibilities to who have time in their schedules to really own that particular item." - Anonymous
My AHA moment was "realizing our vision is wider spread in the body of [our church] than originally thought!" It's going to be a challenge "getting the rest of the church on board with seeing the importance of what we're trying to prioritize." - Anonymous
